Will I get a chance to meet up this favorite author in the near future? It is a Herculean task to furnish thriller plots with rationale details which the author Keigo Higashino has mastered by every book of his release. One may find the plots since his ‘The devotion of suspect x’ to be cordial with culture and modern aspects of life and I truly believe that this is his style at its best. Well, coming to this story which is about making the perpetrator to admit his scandalous act that carries two different homicide case and finding the killer who has taken his life. Although sounds like an open shut case but the execution process is what steals the show. What happens when you bring the physicist Yukawa’s help to solve the mystery must be read to get the stimulating effects. I am counting on his next offer the soonest the merrier.

I chose this book randomly without knowing that this is part of the series. So may be this could be the reason for giving three star rating!? This story is about hunting the perpetrator who is responsible for the killings of wealthy elders who resides on the assisting living home. He has a partner in crime who works as his sex mate and the nurse in the facility. How nameless nabs them is the nutshell of the story. I do normally like the Dean Koontz style but this did not stir any impressions and wonder if I had read the prior parts then how could’ve made a difference? So, the work is not that bad but could’ve been more gripping is my opinion.

After Arthur Conan Doyle and few Agatha Christie series, this is the old detective novel that infatuated me. Being a fan of mysteries I tend to read any books that fall upon me; although most of the recent ones keep you on the edge, it is the old ones that deserve the credibility for its vernacular usage and lexicon nuances. There isn’t a rush for character introductions, but will hold your attention to the story till the end. Professor Stub’s character reminds me of Sherlock Holmes and his nephew Andrew to Watson! Totally loved the verbosity and amusing exchanges between the characters. 😊

Living with the Himalayan Masters by Swami Rama

I have come across this book on several occasions in the book shop’s but my interest was laid aside at that time. And here am trying to brood over missing such a rare commodity earlier. This runs as an upliftment memoir of an ascetic code of conduct, existence and its pursuance. From microcosmic to the macro level of spirituality is explained in the layman language. I find Swami Rama’s point of views pensively accompanied by his true quest for wisdom. 🙏

I do not know what made me to pick this book, but it reveals some amazing tips for mirror analysis of life. The metaphorical use of Nachiketa story is a masterstroke in this book of factual events. It is very common to hear from a spiritual or religious people of its wisdom, but uncommon to evaluate of their eminence in the subtlety of life. Let me divide my insights into two categories for a better comprehension. Firstly, if the interest is rhetorical then the questions raised by Nachiketa will be assured to convey the intended message to the right audience. The inquisitive attributes of Nachiketa are one of a kind and of a higher nature, so isn’t fathomable to all. Secondly, if pursued as an allegory, then continuous reflections are to be instigated for individual moral upliftment. Hence, the following statement explains it all and thankful to have introduced to this beautiful teaching of Kathoupanishad. “The consciousness of individuality is always searching and seeking to find the right combination to move towards the consciousness of unity”.
