This book explains the true meaning of an actual companionship. How a wanderer finds the solace in a street cat is the nutshell of this story. It sounds more like a memoir of the author than a series of events surrounding the cat. This story is so provocative and may influence to adopt a pet sooner..

I had spent an hour in the bank with my dad, as he had to transfer some money. I couldn’t resist myself & asked…

”Dad, why don’t we activate your internet banking?”

”Why would I do that?” He asked…

”Well, then you wont have to spend an hour here for things like transfer.

You can even do your shopping online. Everything will be so easy!”

I was so excited about initiating him into the world of Net banking.

He asked ”If I do that, I wont have to step out of the house?

”Yes, yes”! I said. I told him how even grocery can be delivered at door now and how amazon delivers everything!

His answer left me tongue-tied.

He said ”Since I entered this bank today, I have met four of my friends, I have chatted a while with the staff who know me very well by now.

You know I am alone…this is the company that I need. I like to get ready and come to the bank. I have enough time, it is the physical touch that I crave.

Two years back I got sick, The store owner from whom I buy fruits, came to see me and sat by my bedside and cried.

When your Mom fell down few days back while on her morning walk. Our local grocer saw her and immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows where I live.

Would I have that ‘human’ touch if everything became online?

Why would I want everything delivered to me and force me to interact with just my computer?

I like to know the person that I’m dealing with and not just the ‘seller’. It creates bonds of Relationships.

Does Amazon deliver all this as well?”’

Technology isn’t life..

This book is a pictorial representation of the world of introverts. From social seclusion, finding partners to employments is well coiled within this informative nuggets. There are lots of moments that are highly relatable and certain graphics will tickle the bones! I felt like Debbie was a mirror image of me at places. This can be served as a manifesto at schools to explain about the nature of introverted people and hope it receives its deserved recognition.

The life of introverted person is nicely depicted in this novel and, if famous for their online persona then, nothing holds back till satisfies their quench. I got sucked into their fan fiction story which runs parallel and offers the glimpses of an active moderator of the forum. The communications between the Elisa online pal and the growing bonds with the Wallace friends displays the thin line between online and offline contacts. When email is sent by Olivia Kane, Eliza weighs the pros and cons of fan art with a pile of life wisdom to contemplate. This YA fiction calls for a universal embrace of addressing the issues befall upon a recluse and the inner monsters which are harmless in my opinion.

As the title suggests it is a manifesto presenting the art of staying lonely and combating hardships of leading the life. It isn’t a space, fictional romance flick rather surprises you with unexpected twists and turns. The names of spaceship “Infinity” and “Eternity” deserves special mention as it provokes to question ones conscience. I feel the Romy character to be abundant while the other characters do justice as imparted. Truly gripping and highly addictive imho.

This story is about a boy who loses his mother, dislikes his father for getting remarried and envious on the arrival of his new stepbrother. It starts as a regular drama which moves into a fantasy land and ends up inculcating the importance of various psychological phases of one’s life. It cannot be limited to a youth alone genres because it has some spookiness mood as well. I have found a great mirror of self analysis through this book and hope the same for everyone who does.

This book is about Ali during the war trodden in Basra, Iraq and the man behind prosecuting Saddam Hussein for the crimes against humanity. But what I am unable to get is the clarity of choosing the said title when it is more about leading the life of rationing, worrisome and uncertainty. Although make sense for using the video games as a diversion perhaps lacks the persistence over the story line. It’s a relief to see less emotionalism on the family front and lip smacking delicacies such as tahini, date hummus palate.

I am obsessed with book reading habit and a boring member of several book groups on ‘Facebook’ but, ‘Reddit’ overrides when it comes to exploring new books. And it is how this book landed on me and led me to ponder over its sagacious plot. This is about a lonely hen namely sprout who adopts a duck (Greentop) and its growing mutuality is what discussed in here. I have never read ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell but know its outline through reviews and can vouch that the animal character’s communications feel like humans do including the current one. This book is loaded with emotions and nobody can believe is translated from the Korean version by the author. The reason for the chosen title is revealed at the end and will pierce your heart for sure. Kindly have some wipes handy and gonna miss sprout kindness! 😢

I admire the author views on the analysis of a snail species and as a tool to represent the solidarity with a purpose. It made me realize the therapeutic effects offered for those with the illness and thus shine through the elements of hope when warranted. This book is like a reflection, study through the props such as “snails” and a journey of survival and perseverance. The gastropods is a term I learnt anew from reading its contents and embrace such valuable inputs. This statement is so true and suits well for the person like me – “It was perplexing how in losing health I had gained something so coveted but to so little purpose”.

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles

I am deeply enthralled with this story events and protagonist sets an amazing example of essence, morale, audacity to me. Alexander the count is house-arrested and left confined within the Metropol hotel perimeters. The lonesome walks of life with a social ennui is captivated by the infirm at large. It leaves a permanent scar of reading a spellbinding book and will provoke to poke into the author’s prior contributions. This statement left me astonished by the profound meaning inside – “What sort of divinity, he seemed to be thinking, would devise a world in which an aging man’s malady afflicts the very attribute that has set him apart from his fellow men and elevated him in the eyes of all? What sort of divinity, Emily? The very same who rendered Beethoven deaf and Monet blind. For what the lord giveth, is precisely what he come through later to taketh away.”. Truly enacted like a gentleman!
